Third Thursday Poetry Night–May 2011 is this week. We would love to see you there. And there’s no shame in inviting everyone you know. Trust me; they need more poetry.

Ida Red
3306 S Peoria Ave
Tulsa, OK
I’ll be the host, as usual, and one of the featured poets. Our other featured poet is Mercy Teague.
Mercy Gallagher Teague is a performing poet from Tulsa. She was the Tulsa City-County Library’s 2006 Unpublished Poetry Prize Winner, and was published in Write Bloody Publishing’s The Good Things About America in 2008. She’s been a featured reader at Heller Theater and the Southwest Conference on Literature and Christianity. She can be found at myspace.com/mgtpoetry and youtube.com/user/mgtpoetry.
Randall Weiss is a poet from Tulsa, OK. His poems have been described as evoking strong images that highlight the oft ignored parts of our contemporary lives. You may have heard him read at Gypsy Coffee House or Shades of Brown Coffee & Art. He’s also the creator, organizer, and host for Third Thursday Poetry Night (that’s this thing!). You can read selected poems at randallweiss.wordpress.com or follow him on Twitter twitter.com/randalljweiss
